Nebraska Capitol

The state capitol of Nebraska is located in Lincoln and was built between 1922 and 1932. Designed by Bertrum Grosvenor Goodhue, the building is defined as a "freely interpreted classical style." No building in Lincoln may be taller than the capitol per city building code. Lincoln's capitol building is the second tallest statehouse in the United States; only Louisiana's capitol is taller. Atop the capitol is "the sower"; a symbol of Nebraska's strength: agriculture.
